What is the laser source type ,sir ?
Roger parabéns sou do Brasil e acompanho seus vídeos muito top
What about a tool changer for the Amax cnc router
Roger Webb summons his fellowship. I‘ve been here for all the woodturning videos, i guess i can‘t help you sir.🫡 Good luck to you
Thanks - but seems I had made SeaMonkey the default web browser when first installing XP. Might have to create a new XP (in VirtualBox) or find some other way.
What brand of lathe is featured in the video? I would like to have a look at this lathe ,it comes with accessories, correct?
Nice video!
Your videos are fun to watch. I’ll probably never do this but I’ve already picked up some tips for some of my inventions. Thank you. 🥸👍👀✅
Really appreciate this PSA for the community about these price gougers. I'm learning a lot from your videos, and this one is not different. That said, why did you entirely dump the SMC5? Sure, there are people ripping people off, but you also demonstrated that they are also available at reasonable prices. Seems a bit like cutting your nose off to spite your face, if you really do prefer the SMC5.
Rigidity will be fun bit for this build 😊
Hi, my belt is worn and needs replacement. Do you know how to change or can point me in the proper direction?
Hello. The Y axis has two stepper motors. How to make them work together? Thank you!
Confing / Slave Axis / Y Asix / Slaved Axis / A Axis Choose / Ok SAVE
Although not a current fiber user, my studies have informed me that after the main etching burn, it is suggested to finalize the job with a lower power/higher speed "cleaning burn" ~ 3000 mms at medium power - that will burn off the charring that occurs during/after the main etching. The cleaning burn can be one or two passes I.E. 0 and 90 degrees to blow away the crud.... Just an FYI 🙂
I always learn something watching your videos, cheers
Awesome, thank you!
The top ball screw minimizes the leverage of the screw over the Z actuator. If the ball screw was lower the bending moment on the screw would be reduced as in one of your previous builds. Lots of builds put a larger top and bottom piece under the bearing rails to put the screw in between. I saw a design with the bearing rails all the way on top and bottom and that maximizes leverage. I am sure it will be fine as is, you provide excellent leadership for the many CNC builders.
Too bad the end cap did not handle the ball screw bearing. Also, the gantry could have less leverage to the side rail bearings if they were farther apart. Nice clean design overall. Thanks for pushing forward and showing it all.
Hi Roger I noticed you added 2 cap fulls of bleach into the chiller. I have some people telling me not to do this, that it is bad for the tube and the hose lines. How has the performance been for you after some time doing this ?
Sarr pliz my problems solve pliz
Hi, there is a facility on my patron pages for technical help www.patreon.com/user?u=15079773
Glad I found these videos because I just bought an X2 for converting to CNC. For the y-axis, do you not have the ball screw attached on the back side?

Hi, there is a facility on my patron pages for technical help www.patreon.com/user?u=15079773
Hey roger, is that a 500watt spindle?
Thank you👍
No problem 👍
Thank you once again Roger. I have been trying to get an English version of this for a week now.😀👍👍
No problem 👍
I like the motor configuration and the manual handles. Seems like you need to stepper the main motor for threads (or add an aux. stepper motor).
This is a great video and something I’m hoping for to do very soon myself in the near future. So thank you very much for putting this out and for all your knowledge and expertise in the few videos I’ve seen. I hope to get around to watching the lot of them. I was also curious on the materials, list and prices to build the flatbed cnc you used? I subscribed recently and will be following along for all your future endeavors! Oh yeah and great last name uncle Roger! Cheers
A inspirational job good work as always. Greats from Spain
Thank you very much!
Sir, respectfully, I have a technical question. A lot of the lasers light is waisted in an open beam. You can always see the beam, given proper optics. That light is wasted. Unless you focus the beam near infinity, then cram the beam into a fiber wire and take all the normally wasted light to increase the density of the beam. What happens without the seed lasers??? Think of it this way. Your holding a high-powered pointer thur a magnifying glass to its smallest point on to a glass top table. What do you see the laser looks like on the other side of the glass...Super diffused. That doesn't happen in the fiber. No room to diffuse. It harnesses the light that would normally be wasted, and it does that from 16 lasers. Not a capacitor, its a barrel. Could I be right?
Another vote for spindle turning counter-clockwise, he should check that! Also what about bad bearings in the spindle, could the shaft have excessive up/down play??
Are you able to thread on the cnc mini lathe? I would think in order to thread, your cnc control board would need to be able to read spindle rpm. And I don’t believe your mach 3 breakout board can.
Thank you Roger for the upload. I am going to buy one soon! 👍👍👍
Cool 👍
Thank you for the upload Roger. You have saved me lots of cash!👍
Glad to help
Many thanks, was trying to figure where the Earth terminal was, you made it clear!!
You're welcome!
Thanks for showing Roger People who have these type of machines with Nylon gears must understand that they have them as a safety for the Novice/beginners meaning if you get jammed up the gears or cogs can break instead of burning out the motor or circuit and so on for the more advanced user then you can buy metal gears and cogs to upgrade Also to say the Nylon parts cost almost the same as metal parts so its not about making cheap for production, but to help the armature be safe
Very true
Hello Roger, I di Not understand why the diodes have to fire in sequence. Couldn't they fire simultaneously? Thanks
Thanks Roger top work much appreciated 🤝🤝
Very welcome
G'day from Queensland, Roger you do agreat job in your in the videos I have many questions as I'm new at this kinder work. I have built a cnc router. Can you or any one else tell me where to obtain long lengths eg 1500mm lead screw. Keep up the great work
nice video. one question.... using windows 10 and db25 bob it is usable with a pcie to db25 adapter card? thank you in advance for your answer.
No, it will only work with motion controllers according to the Mach Website info
thank you this clears some stuff up. the one I am attempting to replace is for a vacuum. This would be my first vfd replacement ever. the VFD from the OEM already setup is $1500, but, I can get a new one not setup for 250. and there is an identical one next to the broken one and is working.
Good, I liked't
Thank you! Cheers!
thanks!
No problem!
Thanks for this, pretty important to have that earth if something goes wrong. Had a look at that shiny Sainsmart one thats around 159 and it does have an earth on the power connector. Also it uses er11 collets so should have more compatibility .
Very true!
it's about oxide affect on surface of metal, and i have a question: what is the source of this engraving machine? is it Raycus?
Yes
👍
What effect does increase or decreasing do? Does more speed mean a smoother finish or just quicker material removal?
Love learning from the elders Never had a grandpa or dad to teach me any type of work men do Always self taught and learning from men like these and wishing to pass down to my son and daughter and future grandchildren
Well said!
Were u able to make any improvement in the marking on wood .. with fiber laser
Very detailed and relaxing with the exception of the barnyard choir in the background.
I'm in the process of making a manual bridgeport style mill into a cnc. I'm almost into the wiring process. Have to order all of the electronics for it still. Thinking of mach 4 because in the future I will want to run 5 axis. My question is how bad are the glitches
Thank you Roger I look forward to watching the detailed video on Mach 3 and the Queenant Pro V2 🤝
Coming soon!
